I have used this app since it first came out, when it was called Real Player, & only allowed videos to be uploaded. It used to work very well. I pay for unlimited storage, for all pictures, videos, & the RealTimes Videos you can make within the app. I have all newer iPads & iPhone, (iPhone 6 plus, 128gb; iPad mini 3 128gb; two iPad PROs, each with 256gb. All have plenty of extra storage space on them), with up to date ios. This app used to work with these newer Apple devices. Now though, this app crashes constantly!! It has been for many months now, through several ios updates!! I've allowed ample time for RealTimes to fix new glitches & any problems that the newer ios has contributed to the app functioning properly. Now, I cannot even contact customer service within the app because of the constant crashing!! I have pictures & videos back logged, waiting to upload, clear back to October!! Over two months of many pictures & videos!! It used to add everything even when the app wasn't open & running. I still have those settings in place, Auto Backup. The backup pauses, & won't restart no matter what I've tried!! I have tried everything!! Including uninstalling the app, & reinstalling, then starting from scratch!! It still crashes as soon as I open the app, or very shortly after!! I cannot create any RealTimes video stories now!! I pay for premium services, & unlimited storage, for my pictures, regular videos, but aren't getting them!! I am unable to even create any real times video stories!! My ipads are new ones, with plenty of space on them. My wifi is very steady, & is fast, yet I have nothing but problems in getting my precious pictures & videos to back up to the cloud (RealTimes). I'm very frustrated to the point of just closing out my account!! I have other means of storing my pictures & videos. I don't have to use this app. But, I had been enjoying this app & its many nice features. Like I said, it used to work very well, uploading everything automatically, (like it should be doing now). Even if I only use one ipad or iphone, with this app at a time, I still have the constant crashing problems!! I'm getting fed up!! Unless things change for the better, & very soon!! I will be canceling my service, & deleting this app for good!! I hope someone at RealTimes reads these reviews, & addresses these issues! I'm sure I'm not the only one with these problems!! What a shame too!! I really loved this app, making those nice video stories it allows within the app. I usually never write reviews, but I am so tired of all of the problems that do not seem to be getting addressed. So, I'm only giving this app a little longer, then I'm just going to cancel my premium storage services. I don't want to keep paying for something that isn't working at all!! I'm just throwing away good money. Any suggestions from others out there would be welcomed.
One more thing before I end this review:
I also thought when you pay for a cloud storage service, such as this app offers, that once your pics & vids are uploaded (no matter which device you used at any given time to get them uploaded), they all should show up on ever single device, within the RealTimes App. I realize that there are settings for viewing the content from the current device, even connecting to another device with its storage content. But 'all' devices should always show what is in the cloud. I've noticed that each device has to literally upload everything separately. So, while viewing the cloud, or all pictures & videos from one device, seems to vary from device to device, until, or unless, you have every single picture & video you own uploaded from all devices!! I have my iPhone & iPads all linked together, so everyone of them has every picture & video of my massive collection from over the years, stored on every device I own. Since I have other means of storing all of my collection, it's not an issue of worrying about losing anything. I just figure that once you have all of your collection uploaded to a storage cloud service, like RealTimes, you should be able to access it from any device running the app. That is the other issue I'm seeing with this app, the inability to see everything that is stored in the app cloud, even though there is a setting supposedly allowing you to view everything!
I know I can just delete this app, cancel my service with them, & call it quits. But, I really liked this app. So I'm still trying to hold out hope that these issues might get fixed. I also just wrote this review in haste, without reading any current reviews, like I probably should have done.
Any suggestions from others out there would be welcomed.
